What does it say about me and my work ethnic that I woke up this morning in a panic because I had a dream that I had forgotten to write a paper for class? Seriously, I spent like two minutes trying to think with my sleepy brain if it was possible and was starting to get really worried and COULD I WRITE IT IN TIME BEFORE CLASS when I realized--OH WAIT. I'm already on SUMMER VACATION! Why yes, even on break, school haunts me.

Well speaking of school, grades came back and I did fine this quarter. I was really surprised and happy that I got a 4.0 in Japanese since the last time our TA handed out our grades, I was definitely at a 3.7 so...I wonder if I did really well on the final or something?

So far this summer, I have done absolutely nothing and it's WONDERFUL~ I love being able to sleep without worry, read all day and watch TV! Starting next week though, I hope I'll get more done. Well, next week will be more exciting anyway since I'll be going to my brother's high school graduation (haha ugghh, how old this makes me feel. It seriously feels like yesterday that I just graduated) and to my friend's wedding reception. Haha, which reminds me, I still need to find a dress and nice shoes T__T

The PVs for Crazy Moon ~Kimi wa Muteki~ and Ashita no Kioku are out! :D

I know I said I didn't like listening to Crazy Moon before, but I changed my mind after seeing them perform it. *__* It's been awhile since they've done so much dancing~! I hope this dancing trend continues XD

The theme song from Sho's drama The Quiz Show (which I need to catch up on...) It's a nice contrast to Crazy Moon. I like how pretty and clean the PV looks, which matches up with the feel of the song. Haha, my bias shows, but my favorite part is Ohno painting the tree *__* and then when they're all putting the pictures onto the wall.

Man, I wasn't going to buy the single, but I'm tempted to get the regular edition now since it apparently comes with STICKERS.

Oh Sho~ ♥ Please don't ever stop being a dork! His wrinkly face laugh is so adorable! Ohmiya love continues, but now they're making unashamed attempts to seduce Sho...XDD We'll see how long he can resist.

Speaking of Arashi, I totally overheard in Japanese lecture today a girl talking to her friend about j-dramas and how her favorite actor is Matsumoto Jun. XDD Too bad they were too far away for me to squish my way into the conversation without being weird.

And then later, I was practicing with this girl I've been sitting next to during class and it turns out she had gone to the Epik High concert too! AND, she likes DBSK because she totally had Junsu stickers in her notebook--I saw them and was like 'OMG, DBSK! Do you like them? :DD' I wish I had known sooner...we could have talked more! There's only one more lecture left next week before FINALS ;__;!

I love and hate the long weekend. I love it because there's an extra day to play. I hate it because there's always a ton of school work due after it. ;__; JUST HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE TO WORK ON THIS RESEARCH PAPER?!

And so obviously, it's procrastination time. :D (that and uh, I really don't update enough haha)

On Friday, I went to a baseball game with some friends. I'm really not into sports at all, so it's only my second baseball game ever. :D I thought it was fun, but...I really can't stand how long it goes on for. We even got there two hours early before the game started because my friends wanted to get a bobblehead, so we got there at 5 and didn't leave until basically 11:30. But at least, the Mariners won and I ate delicious garlic fries and Dippin' Dots, which I haven't had in forever.

The view from our seats from when we finally wandered over to our seats at like 6. It was a realllyy nice day, perfect for a game!

On Saturday, it was the Epik High concert. I actually don't know the band very well, but everyone kept saying how awesome they are so...I thought I'd go. I should have taken a picture of the long line that we were standing in---it was like 90% Korean and 10% other. XD I got there around 4 and stood in that line for like two hours until they told us that there was a much shorter 21 and older line. So we all skipped over to that line, but...it was basically FAIL because it took about as long for us to get in as the regular line. >_>;;

Anyway, the concert was REALLY AWESOME though! XDD I chose to sit in the back where I could actually see the performance rather than stand and be crushed up in the front, where I probably would have spent the entire time staring at the performers' shoes anyway. So...a lot of my pictures are blurry from far away and doesn't accurately convey how awesome the concert was.

Before the concert started and we finally got into the building. You can see all the free red glow sticks that the Verizon people were handing out.

One of the opening bands, Far East Movement. XDD They came out in SPACE SUITS. I was like '?!?!' Their concept was like they had traveled back in time from the 3000s to save music. I thought they were really intense--a lot of movement and really loud. Not really my type of music, but it was entertaining.

A lot of the time...the lighting was like that. XD I just really liked this picture. That's still Far East Movement running around on stage.

The main band, Epik High! Everyone was going crazy as soon as they came out. Actually...I got pretty excited too so haha, a LOT of the pictures I took are super blurry. FAIL~~ I also wish I had known their songs better to follow along since I only recognized a couple of them. XD;;

I think this is my second concert ever, but I thought it was a really good performance and I'm glad I went. :D

Auuugghh, this falling asleep before finishing homework thing really needs to stop. Everything only gets half-done and then I have to wake up early in the morning to freak out about it. We're already half way through the quarter! Come on self, focus! ::kicks::

In other news, I'm heading down to Oregon with a couple friends for the weekend to go to a friend's graduation. We're taking the train down. XD I've never taken it before...so it'll be an adventure. I also hope the weather will be better down there since I really don't want to run around in a dress if it's going to be freezing and pouring T__T

And now, off to Japanese class...ugh, we're currently learning sonkeigo/kenjougo and I am filled with CONFUSION. ::runs::

I totally fell asleep last night without getting any studying or homework done, but I woke up to the doorbell ringing this morning and it was Fedex delivering my DBSK mirotic in Seoul concert book and 2009 wall calendar!

SUPER FAST. I only ordered it three days ago! It's amazing that Yesasia was actually fast for once...it's NEVER been this fast for me (even that time I did express shipping...it still took like five days, what the heck...) and I only chose the free shipping option too o__O;

Hahah, I guess standards are just different when it comes to DBSK :D (that and probably Yesasia just defies logic) Oh well, I have no complaints ♥ but...

AUGH, staring at pretty pictures though, definitely does not help in getting homework done!

I'll just show them this from now on. XDD Probably everyone's seen or heard about the Breast Explosion Game now, but I will NEVER tire of it! NEVER~! The episode totally made my week--there's just too many things to love about it. I can just sit here all day and watch Ohno sit on Nino...*__*

There is also the radio recorded full version of Crazy Moon~Kimi.wa.Muteki~ from their upcoming new single. Compared to their recent singles from the past half year...it's only an okay song for me. I guess I'll wait to hear what Ashita no Kioku fully sounds like, but I probably won't get this single. When is a new album coming out anyway? It's been almost a full year since Dream"A"live! Which means...whoa, it's been like a year since I got into Arashi...crazy how fast time passes when you're fangirling over boy bands XDD

In other news, it's Friday~ YAAAYY~ Although, in some ways, I wish it wasn't because I have a Japanese oral test on Monday and two midterms on Tuesday so this weekend will mostly be studying, studying, studying. T__T Groosss faaacccee.

I just figured out how to unlock one of our DVD players using this website. Then I put in Arashi's Time Concert DVD and SCREAMED when it actually started playing. (So much that my brother came running to be like 'WHAT HAPPENED?!')

I'm SO EXCITED for when Arashi Around Asia 2008 in Tokyo DVD now since I'll actually be able to watch it in the comfort of my own home rather than barging into my friend's house to use her DVD player or reserving one of the media rooms at Odegaard to watch it. SO VERY EXCITED! Hurry up YesAsia, I want the DVD and my DBSK album like NOW.

In other news, I love spring break because I can finally relax and just hang out! For example, I went out with some friends for dinner on Sunday night and had my first drink--a tropical martini. And basically, I was never interested in drinking/getting drunk and I'm -still- not interested because I thought it tasted okay, but it leaves a burning bitter aftertaste T_T; I'd just rather have a milkshake. Unless anyone wants to recommend any drinks that are super sweet, but aren't super strong? Haha...I'm positive I have a low tolerance.

And then, I just checked grades and I did awesome last quarter~ ♥ Too bad I still have absolutely no idea what I'm actually going to do and I pretty much graduate in another year. AUGH mindless terror at the overwhelming uncertainty in front of me and my complete lack of confidence/skills/knowledge, etc.

In the mean time though, I fully plan on escaping reality some more with the rest of this week since school starts again on Monday. So I think I'll go rewatch some sparkly rainbow dancing, Ohmiya's kiss and Jun's winks ON MY BIG TV SCREEN~ YES!!!

It is snowing a ridiculous amount right now! So much that when I look outside my window, all I can see is a blur of white as giant snowflakes whirl about in the wind! It's really pretty on one hand, but...seriously, it's already March and it's been snowing/hailing quite a bit over the last couple days. Um...I really kind of hope it stops soon because if it goes on like this, it'll stick for sure and getting to school tomorrow will be an enormous pain tomorrow >__>;; (and I can't skip since it's the week before finals aahh~~)

Hahah...I can't wait for spring break. Hopefully by that time, we will actually be having spring-like weather!

Somehow, it's already March and this quarter of school is almost over. February passed by as a blur and was pretty laid-back overall I'd say. I mean, I had my 21st birthday, which is generally a pretty important event, but since it was on a Monday and I've never had much interest in alcohol/partying--it went by quietly. My brother (with some contributions from my dad) got me an iHome so now I can wake up to Arashi's Happiness instead of the alarm beeping. It makes my mornings just a little bit brighter!

Otherwise, I have been wasting away time I should be doing homework by watching Korean dramas--my friend really wanted to watch Boys Over Flowers (Korean Hana Yori Dango) so I started it with her and got stuck continuing it on my own (I'm sorry Jun, but the Domyouji in the Korean version is ridiculously hot). And to combat the angst that's been infesting the latest episodes, I started on Coffee Prince, which is awesome just because the main girl is constantly mistaken for being a guy and ends up pretending to be a guy to work at a coffee shop anyway.

And of course, I'm watching Uta no Onii-san because sulky!Ohno in animal costumes will never stop being hilarious. I seriously can't wait for Sho's appearance in this upcoming week's episode. WHY CAN'T IT BE FRIDAY ALREADY?

And then the usual various Asian boy band clips on Youtube.

For example:
Aiba vs. Kanji Reading! Haha, it makes me feel better about my continued struggles with learning kanji right now. More significantly, he just blurts out Tohoshinki in his attempt and I really wish my two favorite boy bands could just be put on the same show and do insanely dorky things TOGETHER. Which is why I'm particularly excited for Music Station cause they'll actually be in the SAME ROOM TOGETHER -and- I'll get to see them perform their respective songs.

Yunho's chest. XDD I will never stop laughing at this clip! SERIOUSLY. Who sits around thinking, 'We're bored. Let's just see how big Yunho's chest will look if we push them together!!!' Oh guys~ ♥

Clearly...I'm being extraordinarily productive with life nowadays. Hahaha...

T__T Why can't it be Friday already?

Well, first of all, Happy Chinese New Year everyone~ I had dinner with my family and it was delicious. We also phoned our relatives in Hong Kong to wish them a happy new year. I knitted a scarf for my grandma, mailed it over for new year's and she couldn't stop repeating how nice it was over the phone. XD;; It was my second scarf ever so, personally, I thought it could have been better, but as long as she's happy.

Speaking of dinner though, I was eating dinner with my family when I got a call from my best friend. She said she wanted to talk, so I asked, "Well, what kind of talk? I'm in the middle of dinner right now...so I can't really talk for a long time." And she replies, "Well in that case, I'll just let you know quickly and we can talk more about it tomorrow, but...I'm planning on getting married in August ♥!"

In my head, I go EHHHHHHH?! I feel like I must have looked really shocked because my parents were giving me weird looks. Well, I'm STILL KIND OF IN SHOCK. It was so random and out of the blue! I mean, I was sort of expecting it since she's 1) Mormon 2) Been dragging her boyfriend along for family trips 3) Reealllyyy seems to like him but STILL...isn't this kind of EARLY? I don't think they've even dated for a full year yet?

My head hurts a little just trying to imagine this. You always hear about a friend of a friend who gets married really young, but uh, it's mind boggling to me that it's actually happening to my own friend. She'll only be 21 this year too. Uh, I can't even imagine settling down at this age (well then again, haha...haha...I haven't even had a boyfriend yet *_*;;).

I guess I'll hear the full details and everything tomorrow, but this is seriously sooooo weird for me. I don't even really remember what I said to her since my mind was totally blank at the time. Totally not the kind of phone call you'd expect to get in the middle of dinner. Actually, totally not the kind of phone call I was expecting to get until AT LEAST a year or two later!

If this is any sign about this upcoming year, I feel like I'm up for a ridiculously eventful one.

I kept on meaning to make a new year's post, but I never really got around to it. XD;; Looking back on 2008, a lot of things happened and somewhat accidentally, I think I did a fairly good job of keeping last year's resolutions. I said I would be more outgoing and I did try with varying amounts of success. I said I would be more optimistic/adventurous and well, I traveled to Japan and Utah this year all by myself so I think that counts for the adventurous. Does falling in love with boybands count as being adventurous? XDD It's not a fandom I ever thought I would get into...

The only part that I didn't really accomplish was the writing more part--I wrote a lot for classes, but I didn't really write that much on my own time.

So I guess the resolutions for this year will be to write and read more outside of class stuff, continue attempting new things and meeting new people. I'd also like to learn to love myself a little more this year and try to be more considerate of other peoples' feelings.

I definitely feel like this year will be pretty difficult, but let's do our best! FIGHT-O~!

T__T School has started. I feel like winter break was way too short since we practically lost a week of it due to the snow, which led to being trapped at home with almost no social contact whatsoever. I'm not really looking forward to any of my classes this quarter, except for Japanese, but with the increasing level of difficult...it's getting a little stressful too.

Today was only the second day of school, but I already feel like skipping to spring break. ::sighs::

Hopefully everyone's been having a happy holiday. My major accomplishment today is finally being able to leave the house and go out again since this whole snowstorm thing happened. >_>;; There's a ton of dirty snow still on the sidewalks and the traffic in downtown Bellevue is absolutely ridiculous, but at least I'm finally getting holiday shopping done. Well, it's not like I could have given people their presents before this anyway. Hahah~

In other news, I'm completely and totally addicted to this song--Dong Bang Shin Ki's Jumon (MIROTIC):

XDD The first time my friend showed me this PV, I laughed my head off because there's a ton of fanservice, but then...I realized I couldn't stop listening to the song. ::cry:: There's also a Japanese version, which I actually tend to listen more to since then I can sing along (hahah somewhat), but I think the original Korean version sounds best.

The first time I was introduced to DBSK, I thought 'AUGH DANGEROUS! NO MORE HOT/DORKY ASIAN BOYBANDS!' and told myself I absolutely wouldn't fall for them, but... <--- it's already too late. My only excuse is that I had a friend who kept sending me Youtube clips! She wouldn't stop! I couldn't stop watching!

Incidentally, since last quarter, there's now a TVXQ (Tohoshinki/Dong Bang Shin Ki) fanclub at UW. My friend kept on pointing their fanclub poster out to me and I wondered if they really that awesome. Yeah, now I know. I SHOULDN'T HAVE WONDERED. <--- in other words, will probably end up checking out the fanclub next quarter

Hopefully, he'll be able to spend the day as he likes and gets interesting enough presents from the members. Apparently, Nino dedicated a whole Nikki entry to Ohno just saying happy birthday and I love you ♥ ♥!

Speaking of birthdays...it also happens to be my dad's birthday today! XDD It's also hard to believe that he's already 59 O_O!!!

I hate the days before break starts because there's always a ton of work to do. Like, there's a Nutrition test tomorrow that I'm totally not ready for. Tuesday: there is a Japanese quiz, four peer reviews due and a short story to turn in. (Uugghh Monday night is going to KILL ME) Wednesday: Asian American Lit. paper and reading.

But on the other hand, on Thursday, I'm going to Utah to see my best friend for Thanksgiving break! YES!!! I finally convinced my parents to let me go so I'm really excited! So it's a just a matter of pushing through until Wednesday night! Fight MAX! <--- says that, but in fact, is still in procrastination mode

Like...instead of studying like I should be doing, I caught up with reading the latest chapters of Neuro )

Wahhhh, why is it that all the series I'm following is like this recently? The only one that isn't utterly depressing right now is...Eyeshield 21! XDD Went to go see Twilight earlier tonight. I wasn't planning on seeing it, but it was a free ticket anyway so I thought 'Well, why not!' There was quite a line outside the theater for it though--made up of mostly teenage girls, but there was a group of four Asian guys in line in front of us and I couldn't help but wonder what reasons THEY had.

But anyway, the movie was AWESOME! I laughed the ENTIRE TIME~ ♥ It's been awhile since I've laughed so hard for so long. I thought it was totally worth it. It's exactly like watching a bad shoujo manga--it wasn't lame to the point where I wanted to stab my eyes out, it was JUST corny enough so that it was brilliantly hilarious. I totally recommend people to go see it (if they can get out of paying for it) since, if you don't take it seriously, it's just really awesome. XDD It totally made my day. I'm STILL laughing just thinking about it.

First of all, it just turned the 4th over here so, happy birthday [info]milchstrasse~! :D I hope you're having an awesome one where you can take the time to relax a little, drink a nice cup of coffee and eat some delicious cake! ::hugs::

And then, congratulations to Arashi on their anniversary! Even though this year has probably been way too busy for you guys, let's keep it up for this coming year too~ ♥ Speaking of, I'm waiting impatiently for Yesasia to send out my order of the Beautiful Days single. I got the regular edition since it has Wasurerarenai and the secret talk, but the PV looks really pretty too. *__*;;

Everyone looks really pretty~ Ohno with his slightly smiling face and angel wings; Sho blowing the stars from his hands! I really liked the dangling light bulbs and then later on when the sunlight comes in through the windows. Also, I've been saying this a lot lately, but Sho looks really good. He's quickly becoming my second favorite recently.

And finally, I voted! Even though I'm definitely more towards the politically apathetic group, I still voted so everyone who hasn't already should definitely go do it!

Uh, so I'm currently on the computer at the school library and a couple computers down, I can totally see a girl watching a video with Nino in it--I think it might be a Hanamaru Cafe appearance. She's also watching something with Toma in it. ::squints:: I kinda wish that it wouldn't be weird to go up and talk to her since I really wish I had someone to fangirl over Arashi with! Also...I'm super curious as to exactly what she's -watching-. <--- how far I have fallen

Actually, I see people read scanslations or watch anime a lot too. The school internet connection is really fast so it's really wonderful--and horribly distracting since it's so easy to surf or do something else rather than what you're supposed to be doing. Hahaha.

In other news, I should be studying for the Japanese quiz I'll be having in an hour! I don't think it'll be too hard, but sometimes, I forget particles or okurigana when I'm writing kanji (things like is it 温たかい or 温かい or 温い) and that results in minor point deductions that add up in the end. =_=;

...now, she's watching something with Dong Bang Shin Ki. <--- totally not distracted

I finally got around to getting a new cellphone. I've been using the same one for about two years now, but my brother was upgrading his and I found out that I could upgrade mine too for free so, why not! I ended up getting the black cherry LG chocolate--for no real reason other than the fact that it was the most expensive of the phones I could get for free and cause it's red. <--- idiot

Currently, my wallpaper for the phone is Ohno, my cell phone strap is Ohno and my default ring tone is LiVE/EViL from the Maou soundtrack. XDD You can sort of tell who my favorite is, right?

Speaking of Maou, I finally sat down over the weekend and watched the last episode subbed. I got most of the episodes from STORMY subs, so I was waiting for them to finish subbing the last episode. The other reason I put it off was because I didn't know if I could handle watching it right away since then the series really would be over and in a lot of ways, I didn't want it to be. Anyway, despite being prepared for it and all, I still ended up tearing up and everything T__T;; I was seriously still stuck to my seat and clinging desperately to my bear plushy and wishing things could have just turned out differently.

On closer inspection of the ending, doesn't it say at the end that the secret of the vision would be revealed in the DVD box set? Auuugghh, I hate when they do that because 1) I thought the ending would've been fine without that last scene 2) waiting until January for when the box set actually comes out 3) hoping someone will sub/summarize whatever that last scene actually is. ::SIGH::
